Organic shape modeling in Google sketchup

I decide to stick with my original plan for underground structure.

Modeling organic shape in Google sketchup could be very tricky, either you can go with the follow me tool or the sand box set. However, after hours of playing both, I find the follow me tool is very handy especially for organic shapes like I am gonna show you below.

It might be helpful for those people do not have a clue on shapes like this

New thoughts on Stairs

I wasn't very happy about the shape of the "glass house" and the stairs within.

So I spent a couple of hours on Thursday to polish them up a it.

1. Best piece of creative work at high school

Speaking of which, I completed high school in my own country, and it is almost impossible to get an image of it, so...

2 An image of the building that inspired me to become an architect

IMGP0118

Suzhou museum designed by Ieoh Ming Pei, a world-class Chinese-American architect.

I shot this with my Pentax K100D, It was a beautiful day but still regretted that I didn't bring my wide angle lens with me, 28mm lens other than 30mm would be ideal for architectural photography. The museum itself is a piece of art, a world with pure lines, triangles, squares and symmetry of course, the key element of the Chinese architecture.

3 An original photograph of something beautiful

IMGP2734.jpg

This is taken with Pentax k100D + Pentacon 29/2.8, a highly sought wide angle lens from East Germany. It is more like a snap shot, but I am pretty much amazed by the feeling it delivers, there is dark all around, but if you look hard, you will find a way to get out, to one thing you should always have in mind...hope
