The reason I am writing about this topic is because I want to do most of the modeling in Sketchup and import into UnrealEd as static mesh. However, Unreal Engine uses its own unit, (Unreal Unit) which does not mean anything in the real world. According to Unreal Wiki, UT2004 appears to be using 1meter = 50 unreal unit scale.
To demonstrate this, I create a beam about the same size of the one in EXP3 and import it into the scene, It turns out it shrinks a bit, about 60% of the original size. After many times trying new dimensions, here comes the conclusion...
1024 UU = 26 meter, this gives 1U = 39.3846 meter, so if any of you want to import Sketchup model into UnrealEd, better stick to this proportion.
